Global variables
Global variables refer to the attribute values that identify a customer during calls with the agents. These attributes are configured in the control hub application. Webex Campaign will receive these variables from control hub application.
When a new tenant is created, you have to designate global variables as customer-unique-identifier and account-unique identifier to enable compliance with call attempt regulations.
Follow these steps to set a variable as a unique- identifier:
- Navigate to Voice campaigns administration and click Global variables. The screen will display all the global variables.
- To make a golbal variable as customer-unique-identifier, click on the ellipses icon of the required variable and select Mark this as customer-unique-identifier. The selected variable will be identified as unique identifier across all campaigns. You cannot change this in future.
- To make a golbal variable as account-unique-identifier, click on the ellipses icon of the required variable and select Mark this as account-unique-identifier. The selected variable will be identified as account identifier across all campaigns. You cannot change this in future.
Once you mark the required variables, the ellipses icon will disappear. This screen will become view-only screen.
